In 1901, in the dusty lanes of colonial Banda, the Goel family established a gold and silver shop. They named it Ganesh Prasad Gondilal Saraf — after two brothers: Ganesh Prasad (the uncle, i.e. father's brother) and Gondilal (the father). In an era before hallmarking, before digital scales, before GST — a jeweller's word was his bond. The Goel family's word was iron.

The shop became more than a business. It became the place where families stored their wealth, where brides got their first gold set, where farmers converted their harvest into something that would last forever.

Generations passed. The shop grew. By the late 20th century, Radha Krishna Goel — known to all of Banda as Kishan Bhaiya — was running the entire operation. He managed the gold, the silver, the customers, the reputation. He was Ganesh Prasad Gondilal Saraf.

For over 40 years, he also served as President of the Regional Jewellery Association — a role that speaks not just to his business acumen, but to the respect he commanded in the trade.
