Physical Gold — Smart Buying Tips

Buy coins or bars for pure investment

Making charges on coins are just 2-5% vs 8-15% on jewellery. You get more gold per rupee.

Choose plain bangles or chains for wearable investment

Low making charges, easy to weigh and exchange, and you can actually wear them.

Buy regularly in small amounts

Like a SIP — buy 1-2 grams monthly. This averages out gold price fluctuations over time.

Always keep your bill

GST invoice proves the purchase price and purity. Essential for resale, insurance claims, and tax.

Buy during non-peak seasons

Prices are often lower in July-August. Wedding season (Oct-Mar) typically pushes rates up 2-4%.

Our Recommendation

For Weddings & Gifting

Buy physical jewellery — it carries emotional value, is a tradition, and doubles as wearable wealth. Choose 22K for jewellery, 24K coins as shagun.

For Pure Wealth Building

Split between SGB (tax-free + interest) and physical coins (tangible asset). SGBs for long-term; coins for liquidity and emergencies.
